SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA-THE GOLDEN Boy's swan song has Manny Pacquiao overtones.
Oscar De La Hoya said Saturday he is calling it a career this year.
But not after one more fight with a credible opponent.
He thinks Pacquiao is among these.
"One more and that's it. This is my final year. I'm doing one fight and hanging up the gloves," De La Hoya told the British news agency Reuters.
After Mayweather's announcement last week De La Hoya is now eyeing a bout against Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao will be facing David Diaz for the WBC Lightweight Championship. Honestly the last few Manny Paquiao fight was not that impressive to me, specially in his last bout against Juan Manuel Marquez, yes Pacquiao came out strong in the first few round and he also scored a knockdown against Marquez in the third round, still not enough to erase doubt to people including me that he really win that boxing match up. I just hope that Manny Pacquiao will impress me on this fight agains Diaz like what he did in his after beating Marco Antonio Barrera.
Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz is set on June 28 2008. It will be shown on HBO PPV. But no worries, you can watch it for free using Sopcast or TVU player.
